As somebody who is desperately keen to start a D&D campaign, I always thought that I would be thrust into a woodland adventure through the steps of a Green Mage. However, the story of the newly released Secrets of Gullet Cove temps me more each time I read something new.

There are whimsical animals aplenty in the Secrets of Gullet Cove campaign, but RPG players who want to tackle Gullet Cove with the miniatures will be in for a real treat. As dogs, cats and rats are now available for purchase to incorporate into your next campaign.

Each cat has been assigned a fantasy class, so even if you are not looking at starting a campaign for Secrets of the Gullet Cove and to use these miniatures as playable characters, these fluffy felines would make a perfect familiar for any other fantasy-themed RPG too.

As you can see, there are many different cats of many different sizes - and all with the perfect names to match their class and breed too. You have Eduardo the Tabby Rogue, Coral the Savannah Wizard, Denira the Persian Warlock, McCoy the Norwegian Forest Cat Ranger, and Pearl the Tortoiseshell Sorcerer.

Of course, where would the cats be without their canine companions? Although these doggos do play a very important role in Secrets of Gullet Cove, they are 5E compatible to be used in any other RPG game system - or to simply paint and collect because they are so damn adorable. I can't cope when I see a dog in a little rain jacket outside - let alone a Staffie wearing a pirate hat!

Alike the cats, all of these dogs fit into a fantasy class. You can get your paws on Luna the Labrador Druid, Bartolomy the Basset Hound Bard, Zoe the Sheepdog Cleric, Roger the Bull Terrier Fighter and last but not least, Reximus the Doberman Paladin.

We have got to see our faithful heroes, but you must not forget the Gullet Cove has its villains too! You may be thinking, who is in charge of these organised rats? Sitting on his little throne atop of the shoulders of his brainwashed minion sits the Rat King. A genius with plenty of pawns to get in the way of his foes including the ferocious Rataclysm and Were Rats.

There are a few more mammal miniatures available here for Secrets of Gullet Cove, including an undead hoard of kitties.

This campaign just grows my heart more and more, as I personally could not think of a better RPG to start kids off in! And the animal obsessed adults like myself!
