The End Of The World Is Nigh In Card Game Doomlings
March 29, 2021 by fcostin
I am always looking for my next party game. Although I am not exactly going outside and partying wild right now, games like Exploding Kittens and Cards Against Humanity are great to pull out in a large gathering as they are so easy to pick up and understand... and it seems I have found my next target on Kickstarter!
Doomlings // Mccoy & Meyer
Doomlings is set in a distant planet inhabited by adorable ribeana-berry-looking creatures (in my opinion) named, Doomlings. The species has become more evolved throughout time however, these Doomlings are not all the same. Each individual Doomling is more mysterious than the next all with different personalities.
Before you could say Jack Robinson, the world was coming to an end and here is where you as a player come in... Can you strategize before the end is too close, and gain the most points before the poor little Doomlings are wiped off the face of the earth?
Doomlings // Mccoy & Meyer
How does one gain the most points before the end of the world you might ask? The aim of the game is to earn the most points before the end of the world strikes, and these points can be earned by playing traits from your hand that have points attached. Each card is individually unique and will have an impact on both you and your opponents game.

The game is set out in rounds, which are called Ages in the game and they will require a new set of rules to consider each time you are in a new round. For example, when there is an Elipse, players cannot play any red traits they may have in their hand. Within each age, comes new challenges such as 'Catastophes', which will force you to adapt your strategy on the move.
Once the poor lil Doomlings have suffered three catastrophes and your strategy is all over the place - the world would have ended and the player with the most points will be the winner.
So many card games I find nowadays requires you to read a big thick rulebook to get engaged. And my family are certainly not keen on sitting there reading a rulebook. This game seems easy to pick and really straight forward and it is one I will certainly be backing.
Be sure to check out the Kickstarter that has four days left on the clock.
What do you think of Doomlings: The Card Game?

Sounds fun I’m in the market for a new game. I have been looking at the Exit games but this looks good fun that suits my friends dark humour
Sounds a good enterting game.
