The idea behind this campaign is to create a range of characters, creatures and terrain that you could use when delving into adventures on the tabletop. These would be perfect for those wanting to do a themed Dungeons & Dragons campaign or perhaps expand upon a skirmish wargame.
Within the miniatures set (seen above) you get a set of Heroes and Low/Mid/High/Epic Monsters which you can do battle against. The skeletons look great as your somewhat standard enemy but those Troll Brothers take things to another level!
As well as the miniatures, you can also make a pledge for their terrain. Twisted and warped forests are the name of the game here and I think they look suitably creepy.

Of all of the pieces in this particular collection, I like the Ancient Tree Stumps and the Trial Of Champions the best. The Tree Stumps could work to show the path of destruction whilst the Trial Of Champions might be the centre of power where a showdown takes place.
Stretch Goals
The campaign from RMPrintableTerrain has gone very well indeed and as it currently stands, they have unlocked loads of additional Stretch Goals for the campaign. I picked out just two of my favourites.
Barreth Deepforge Stretch Goal // RMPrintableTerrain
Who would have thought that I would pick out the Dwarf from their collection? He has the stoic heroic look down of course and would be a great general for use at the head of your army.
If you prefer monsters then there is also the towering Ettin which is wandering the pathways of Birchwood Vale.
The Ettin Stretch Goal // RMPrintableTerrain
The twisted elements of nature that have worked their way into the features of these miniatures are awesome. I love that the Ettin has that rocky texture to one of its legs and the creeping vines twisting up over its arms and chest. It makes it look like the wood itself has an influence on the comings and goings of these monsters.
Free STL Files
If you're tempted by the campaign but want to check out the work by RMPrintableTerrain then you can download two for free.
Ungrim Mallakson Free Miniature // RMPrintableTerrain
If you want to go down the route of the brutal Dwarf slayer then you can pick up Ungrim Mallakson. If you prefer the grace and guile of the Elves then you have the twin-bladed Daerel, The Blademaster.

Just follow the links above to grab these miniatures and get them printed out at home. RMPrintableTerrain have run quite a few campaigns at this point so they clearly know what they're doing when it comes to delivering on these miniatures and making them easy to work with.
