If you've ever wanted to blast your way through the Underhive of Necromunda in a first-person shooter then you won't have to wait long. Necromunda: Hired Gun got its first trailer this week which unleashes frantic and brutal action for PC and Consoles.

Putting you in the boots of a ruthless and deadly Bounty Hunter from the grimdark future of Warhammer 40,000, you'll be diving into the Underhive to kill your targets and take as many angry gangers with you as you go.

From what we know, you'll be able to craft your perfect Bounty Hunter and then choose from an array of utterly brutal weapons to kill your way through the Underhive. The gameplay looks like it's fast-paced, akin to the new DOOM games, with plenty of blood, gore, bullets and more.

As well as an array of weapons to choose from, you'll also be able to call on your faithful cyber-mastiff who is going to be running through the Underhive with you. Sick your snarling friend on your enemies and he'll drag them off to a savage doom.
I like this more intimate and up-close view of the Underhive that we've not seen before. Whilst we're still waiting for Darktide to pop up this looks like it could be a fun way to get your grimdark kicks in the first-person shooter genre. Watch out for its release later this year in June.
It also comes with bomb rats. Who doesn't like bomb rats?

Looks great so far but these guys seriously disappointed with Deathwing so I’ll wait until I see a few reviews.
Now THIS is what I wanted from Underhive Wars when the trailers first dropped, instead of the weird turn-based game we got instead. This looks like a much more fun and action-packed way to explore Necromunda!
I’m exactly the opposite …
when Necromunda first was shown I thought : finally a strategy game that shows the franchise in all its gory detail. The execution and gameplay were lacking, but it could have been great.
And now we’re getting yet another middle of the road wannabe Doom clone, because FPS games are so much easier to produce and require less thought as it is one shooting gallery separated by cut scenes these days.
Not sure why Deathwing gets all the hate. It’s aesthetically the most 40k game ever made, and playing it with four-player co-op on a hard difficulty with friendly fire on is a legitimately great time.
Ooh that looks fantastic.
