The Icarus Screams In From Prodos Games For Warzone!

If you fancy some air support when you live in the world of Warzone: Resurrection then you're going to probably be calling in one of these if you work for the Brotherhood. See what you think of these preview images of the Icarus Jetfighter from Prodos Games...
Now that's one awesome looking piece of kit and you can see both the top and bottom of the craft. The bottom of it carries a front mounted gun as well as a pair of bombs and two massive gatling guns strapped under the wings. A lot of firepower, but more is clearly better!
A very cool looking craft that skirts the line between modern aircraft and those of the apocalyptic future. I'm a big fan of the shape of the wings. No doubt this is going to be as utterly devastating in the game as the other big pieces of kit for various factions.
The Icarus should become available to order within the next couple of weeks!
What do you think of it?

Nice piece of kit. Actually looks functional. Quick, put two wolves on the front!
Sorry mate, this only flies once and the wings melt. Not functional at all 🙁
It is. If it’s a ground attack aircraft it should be subsonic, and it’s already configured like some of today’s experimental personal craft that use four rotors, along with the ubiquitous drones that are available commercially. One can assume that with greater technology, you will see higher rpm’s out of the rotors, and therefore greater lift. There are intakes at the front and a thruster at the back, so they’re not tilt rotors I.e. not required for propulsion. It would have been nice to see a lifting surface on the leading edge of the wing, but that can easily be… Read more »
The Icarus looks pretty damned swish to me and my only regret is that I don’t actually have a Brotherhood army in which to field it!
With their newly fixed 3d printer and the ‘last’ of the heavies finally coming off the production line, I hope Prodos have plans for more large vehicles in the future. I think I read somewhere that the Bauhaus Bully was possibly going to be the Imperial heavy but I’m still crossing my fingers that they will get the Doomlord instead!
That is really good VTOL jet. I am happy to see those in Warzone. With this Prodos Games surely shows to GW how it’s done right.
Yup, would be nice to have an alternative to expensive hit-or-miss GW models. I liked the VoidRaven (never did see a price, though), but the Chaos zamboni prior to that was laughable… not to mention all the Space Viking stuff.
Meh.
Looks a bit cluttered on the belly the top looks better.
Very nice, definitely going to be joining my Brotherhood army very soon
Nice mini, but a jet fighter, or any fighter at all, has absolutely no place in a 28mm skirmish game. The large tank kits are pushing it as it is.
But it will look pretty sweet in a company sized sci-fi game on a 5′ by 8′ table!
