The Rat Prince Joins The Soulblight Of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
March 2, 2021 by brennon
Games Workshop is looking to give folks insights into new miniatures coming their way through "New Model Monday". The first Age Of Sigmar sneak peek was for another member of the Soulblight, the verminous Rat Prince known as Kritza.

Kritza was once part of the nobility of Ulfenkarn but when his plan to undermine Radukar The Wolf failed he was savaged, broken and tossed away. He was able to escape by clambering into a corpse cart and survived by feasting on rat blood and eating the bodies that surrounded him. So far, so grimdark.
It turned out that Kritza had been given the Blood Kiss by Radukar during the attack and so he was gifted with the unlife of the Soulblight. During his transition into becoming a vampire, he manifested new powers and can now command the vermin around him and turn into a swam of rats if he needs to retreat.
Kritza, The Rat Prince // Age Of Sigmar
With new powers at his command and a very stylish look, this fellow seems like he will be another fun leader for those building a new Soulblight force. I would assume that we're going to be getting a specific Battletome for the Soulblight in the near future which will embrace this more classic vampire design from The Old World.
Are you into the style of Kritza and could you be interested in a new undead army?

I love actual rats – had a couple as pets years ago – but wow that’s some grim clobber.
Related I’d love to see the paint recipe for his face.
It’s probably Rakarth Flesh, Reikland Flesh shade, Palid Wytch Flesh and finally White Scar.
Cheers. I’ll play around with similar next time I’m doing some sundodger.
Or wait for GW to release a Lancastrian Flesh contrast paint ?
I’d even consider creating a wash out of Tuskgor Fur for a more pinkish undertone.
I think it’s the wash that’s key. I often use Bugman:s Glow as a wash
Ooh he looks fantastic.
A necromunda underworld King?
That looks really nice.
That’s a really cool model, I love the regal, aloof posing
Really cool.
It would be a great villain for a D&D campaign.
And for necromanda .
Love it! The rat tails at the end are a great touch. I know it’s such a long way off but I’m SO excited to see what the Vampire Counts will be like when The Old World hits. I hope they make that whole fantasy line rustic.
I’m absolutely loving how elegant and simple these new vampire sculpts are compared to the new Lumineth and Hedonite models.
That is one creepy model.
