Here we begin the experiment as laid out in Prof. Noseblower’s acclaimed thesis on the effects of visual stimuli on the hypothalamus and the experience of subjects administered variable doses of lysergic acid….

Really this all kicked off as a culmination of thoughts as to how to make the most chaotic paint schemes as possible that would be fitting for some insane models. I’ve seen GW Harlequins and thought that there might be some merit in doing that some justice but the sci-fi motif and the cost of models were just not right. It came to me as I just bumbled around a little and started into watching the television series ‘The Prisoner’. The era of Free Love and chemical experimentation to expand human consciousness was just such a time to blow people’s minds with as I took in the residents of The Island and how odd they were. I had also just watched footage of a housewife being given LSD and giving her experience to the experimenting doctor which made me think that there was fun to be had here.

Also on my mind were the crazy stories and visuals from the comic The Filth which are not for the faint of heart or weak of will. Read it at your own peril to comprehend but be better afterwards or just to see a pistol packing commie chimp go on socio-political rants.

Lucid Eye’s figure line The Plot Device needed to be purchased, painted and inflicted on the deleriously dull world stuck within its own banality. I was to create a moment…a happening…an Experience!
