Begin Your Dark Eldar Flesh Cabal For Warhammer 40,000!

Games Workshop have, without too much surprise, released their Haemonculus and Wracks onto the webstore for pre-order and your games of Warhammer 40,000. We shall have to see how the White Dwarf sums up these new additions and speculate as to what's coming next!
The Haemonculus is a single blister pack miniature made of eleven pieces and sporting an array of surgical equipment alongside his splinter pistol for a bit of ranged protection. I'm a big fan of the miniature and think it's an awesome step in the right direction for the Dark Eldar. The cloak is cool, the weapon options are interesting and well detailed and the overall look is spot on.
When it comes to the Wracks you're getting enough pieces to make five of them with a host of close combat weapons alongside the ranged options of a liquifier gun and an ossefactor, whatever that is. Another neat set of miniature and interestingly it comes with options to make one of them a pilot for a Raider!
What do you think of them?

You know, there are days when I worry a little about Dark Eldar players, especially the ones who play Haemonculus cult armies. You half expect to see them trying to graft extra limbs onto themselves during your turn (with the I-go-you-go system, they probably would have enough time to complete the procedure, at least). My slight worries about possible vivisection at the hands of my fellow hobbyists aside, I like these minis – they certainly convey the Clive Barker-esque body horror angle that fits with the fluff for the Haemonclus cults, and their weaponry has that nasty edge of repurposed… Read more »
Good to have a closer look. The poses are very static. Is that part of their character, like zombies or something? They look like they’re waiting for a bus.
Tbh it looks more like they are waiting for a raider 😉
It’s interesting that these plastics – and some past new plastics, have been almost-exact replicas – down to the pose – of their resin originals.
Possibly so no one looks at the Rulebook et al and finds a model that is no longer sold.
hmm …yeah, looking at the sprue,
it seems they’ve decided to do most of the main bodies / legs as 1 piece,
so maybe it just restricted the kind of poses they could do ?
either way, I’m just happy there’s more dark eldar on the way 😉
minis are looking good so far 🙂
The more I am seeing these days, the more I’m getting interested in gathering up a few minions and starting a warband…
A few wyches, a couple of teams of troops and a revamp of Mortuous Gale, and we might just have to start the wet-work party….. :p
Good looking revamp, maybe on par with GW’s Ork redux.
