Para Bellum Wargames has previewed another new unit for those diving into Conquest: The Last Argument Of Kings and First Blood. The Hundred Kingdoms are getting some ranged support in the form of The Hunter Cadre and Longbowmen set.

An interesting mix of characters in this set which again shows off the depth available to those diving into The Hundred Kingdoms. Armed with both crossbows and longbows, these two units can be used to pressure the enemy in different ways. The Hunter Cadre are trained in bringing down monsters whilst the Longbowmen are ready to rain down hell on regular regiments of infantry.

This is another awesome set of miniatures from the folks at Para Bellum Wargames. I love that they have managed to get so many different poses into these units giving them a dynamic look on the battlefield. Both sets of ranged units are posed as if they are skirmishing, right in the midst of battle.
These new miniatures should be coming soon so watch this space to see when they release!

Hunter cadre looks the business. I Look forward to them.
Those look really good.
Great looking figures are the crossbows an longbows got different statists or just under ranged fire?
I’m thinking that these might be like the Empire Handgunners/Crossbowmen for comparison; it sounds like the Hunters will have some sort of armor-piercing attack for their crossbows that will let them take down brutes and monsters at the cost of a shorter range, and the Longbowmen will have a longer range and the ability to fire multiple times like the Marksmen Clones at the cost of a lower damage stat.
Longbowmen have longer range (30 vs 20) and Arcing Fire. The Hunter Cadre though is Fearless has Armour Piercing 1 and they are Fiend Hunters (reroll failed to hit against monsters) and hit on 3s in melee instead of 2s like the Longbowmen and they have evasion 2, Longbowmen have 0.
Both hit on 2s in shooting, so the Hunter Cadre is a bit better in melee than in shooting. Longbowmen are cheaper though.
Thanks guys sounds good variations.
