Magpie Games Working On New Avatar & Legend Of Korra RPG
February 4, 2021 by brennon
Magpie Games has announced that they are going to be working on a roleplaying game set in the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend Of Korra!
Avatar: The Last Airbender
Avatar: The Last Airbender is a show which I only started watching last year and I have to say, I'd been missing out. The stories surrounding Ang and his companions are absolutely brilliant and it's possibly one of the best cartoons of the 2000s. The follow-up show, Legend Of Korra, is just as good and brings you into a world which feels like it's perfect for a roleplaying adventure.
Legend Of Korra
This roleplaying game from Magpie is then going to offer fans a chance to dive into this setting and play as heroes who are rising to meet their destiny, much like Ang and Korra in the show. Maybe you'll be protecting merchants from the Triple Threat Triad in Republic City or heading through into the Spirit World to quiet some restless creature which has been driven to anger by the locals.
Of course, this also means that you're going to be able to make characters who are either savvy and dangerous with traditional weapons or Benders themselves who are able to harness the elements of Fire, Water, Air and Earth.
I am very interested in seeing where this roleplaying game goes! The Core Book is coming in February 2022 and will be followed up by supplements later in 2022 and 2023. These will give you a chance to explore Republic City in more depth and then head off into the Spirit World as they've already hinted at!
If you've not watched these shows, I would highly recommend them!

Sounds good I’ve only seen the film.
You’ll want to watch the cartoon series as it is far superior to the film.
i’ll do just that when i get the chance then Ben.
there is no film … 😉
seriously … watch the cartoon series. It is soo much better and it has depth that you wouldn’t expect from a mere children’s cartoon.
Lol I liked the no film.
I guess if you don’t know the cartoons then it is a nice low budget movie.
The major problem (besides the terrible effects) is that characters are completely different (or absent) and they’re trying to do in a single movie what the series did across one season.
possibly i prefer to watch cartoons if i get the chance their a lot better than the dross they call tv nowadays.
Seems cool.
Haven’t been able to see Legend of Korra but, really enjoyed The Last Airbender series!
It will be interesting to see what system and how it feels to play a Bender!
