When Mecha Becomes Micro, the Results are Awesome!
September 5, 2014 by stvitusdancern
Somehow I missed this Kickstarter earlier this year- Mecha Front Miniatures by Paulson Games, was successfully funded in April and has some absolutely brilliant looking mechs, or "Mechas."
Mecha Front is a table top war game and miniatures line that was developed over the last year. It features large scale robot models called "Mecha" that are able to be used with the system that was designed for them or they can be used alongside other 15mm scale games, such as Gruntz and Tomorrow's War.
Their mini line has a wide variety of sizes including a micro armor line, and they released pictures of test pieces for the 6mm mechas in the micro armor, and they look pretty awesome! Very, very tiny- but mighty.
If you are a fan of Battletech and mechs, then this is a line for you to keep your eye on.
Can you picture these mechas walking across your table? Big or little?

Yeah, I saw it too and I have been looking for a minis manufacturer to take on my Battlletech itch. Still keen on getting into Heavy Gear Blitz at some point but Mecha Front Minis are looking good so far.
Some pals of mine have been wanting me to play Grunts with them and this might just be the motivation I need.
Yep, they look cool but on the other hand it seems that the numbers of mechs designs are limited since we can see here something that we have already seen somewhere.
whilst it is true that the number of mech designs are limited there are currently three factions in the game world setting with each getting a light medium and heavy with at least three variants of each weight class, this isn’t like battletech where everyone gets any mech they want and there a eleventy billion mech variants. I joined the kick starter and am eagerly awaiting my mecha delivery sometime before Christmas this year, I will post pictures as soon as I can.
Pictures of what you received would be awesome. 🙂
Pictures, possibly a slightly unintelligible battle report, I will see what I can do
