Warlord Games has added two new pre-orders onto their webstore for those diving into Blood Red Skies and blasting enemy planes out of the sky during the Korean War.

US Ace Pilot Boots Blesse - Blood Red Skies

US Ace Pilot Boots Blesse // Blood Red Skies

We start with Frederick Corbin "Boots" Blesse who completed sixty-seven missions in P-51s, thirty-five missions in F-80s and 121 missions in the F-86. He was assigned as part of Fighter-Bomber Squadrons and later when piloting the F-86 he was credited with shooting down nine MiG-15s and one La-9 which is pretty immense. He was known, in 1952, as America's top jet ace.

He was a prolific pilot who fought on many tours of duty and should make for an excellent addition to your US force when playing Blood Red Skies. The same goes for Royce Williams.

US Ace Pilot Royce Williams - Blood Red Skies

US Ace Pilot Royce Williams // Blood Red Skies

On 18th November 1952 when piloting his Grumman Panther, Williams destroyed four MiGs in a single engagement which last no more than thirty-five miniatures. That is pretty insane! He had lost contact with his wingman and found himself in a six-on-one confrontation about a pack of deadly MiGs. After downing four of them, he was able to return to the USS Oriskany where his plane was found to have taken 263 hits from cannon shells. It could not be repaired. Wow.

What made his accomplishments all the more fascinating was that the four MiGs he had downed were being flown by Soviet Naval Aviation Pilots. So, he certainly had the numbers stacked against him!

Both of these Ace Pilots are available for pre-order now with their release coming in January 2021.
