@blinky465 mp3 had the huge benefit of: you didn’t need to buy anything. You had an internet connection and a PC and off you go. Napster and emule all were freely available as well as mp3 playing software. And 3D printing requires a still rather big investment. There is no doubt it will change and influence the industry but I can’t really tell in what way. Too many possibilities. Too many roads.
