3d printing *used to be* a hobby in it’s own right: I’d suggest that we’re reaching the point where it’s not any more – almost anyone can print minis on a decent (sub $400) 3d printer easily these days. It’s *nearly* as easy as using an inkjet (load a file, hit print).

We’re close. Very close, but not just yet. There is still the bump for the non tech savvy. And those don’t put in time for nice photo prints. They take their smartphone or USB stick and go to the store where there is a photo printing station 😉
