Warlord Bring The Feisty French Resistance To Bolt Action
November 16, 2020 by brennon
Warlord Games are looking to set things ablaze in the French countryside soon with the addition of the French Resistance to Bolt Action. A big new set of bundles are coming for those who want to stick it to the Nazis in the streets. Here's the full All-In Bundle which is available for pre-order now.
French Resistance Bundle // Bolt Action
The idea behind this set is that it would allow you to make a band of French Resistance fighters who have managed to get their hands on some extra kit in order to take on the Germans and free their country from Nazi rule. Inside the set you get...
- French Resistance Officer Team
- French Resistance Infantry
- French Resistance Sniper Team
- French Resistance Light Mortar Team
- French Resistance PIAT team
- French Resistance Anti-tank rifle team
- French Resistance MMG Team
- French Resistance Medium Mortar Team
- French Resistance Light Anti-Tank Gun
- French Resistance Light Artillery
- Plastic German Weapon Sprues x 2
...although you can also get this selection of options in smaller bundles on their webstore depending on how you want to expand your French Resistance force. You could use them as a faction of their own in battle or as supporting units for an Allied invasion force.
As well as being useful as French fighters you could also use these freedom fighters as civilians who took up arms in Poland or the Soviet Union if you prefer too. They have been designed so that they should work across a myriad of different theatres of war in Europe.
I will say this only once! Will you be picking these up?

I love Bolt Action, but wow Warlord is really reaching for new factions here. We all know Warlord templates this stuff so every faction has a sniper team, every faction has a mortar team, every faction has an MMG team, etc. etc. etc. But when I see the “French Resistance Light Artillery” I have to start looking around for the shark and Fonzie on water-skis.
Time to revisit the Vercors uprising again.
They would be great for the battle for Paris game’s.
It’s either the paint job or the sculpts (or both), but I’m sorry they look as rough as hell and VERY below Warlord standards (which have been dropping of late, I’ve not been impressed with the Korean and latest pacific releases). The Wargames Atlantic “budget” plastics just knock these out the park….
Come on Warlord, you can do better than these 🙁
Maybe there an unreleased wargames factory set
Nah, with the exception of the big guns these are overpriced fugly hand sculpted metal minis and it shows. The later Wargames Factory stuff had much better sculpting than this that was almost in the photo realistic zone (think PS3 Graphics) but for heads being slightly bigger than they would be (if 28mm historical subjects heads were true to scale they would look like pin heads,if you want know how bad it would be look at HaT’s 28mm offerings). Heck even WGF’s early digi sculpt stuff was better looking on average than most of this, and they didn’t do French… Read more »
Agreed I was unimpressed with the faces in bolt Actions Korean war range.
Nice. I’ve pre-ordered the infantry. Not all will fit with my VBCW socialists but a lot will, and a lot of my VBCW will do as Resistance too.
It lists 2 plastic weapons sprues in the “bundle ” , do the figures come molded without weapons ? If so , it will be easy to make them Eastern front fighters , just add plastic Russian weapons . If they come with molded on weapons , then its another story …
