New PC Game Lichdom Battlemage Is Making Mages Badass!

I was checking out the Steam library and saw this interesting title pop up. I do love the idea of being a mage in games and even though we don't often talk about video and PC games I thought Lichdom Battlemage deserved a place!
The game is a 1st person affair where you combine magical runes and powers together into some fantastic explosions like you see above. I've watched a Youtuber play through the first half an hour or so of the game and the voice acting is great, the effects are awesome, and you genuinely feel like an utter badass.
If your PC can handle this then I suggest you give it a go as it looks like one of the only games out there that seems to get magic and mages just right with the delicate balance of ultimate power and the feeling of a 'glass cannon'.

For me, it’s a shame this game is on Steam. I lost confidence with them ever since I bought a game from them that would not play on my computer. When I contacted Steam support for help they sent me the same copy and paste answer to all my messages and then finally brushed me off with the advice that I should go find a games forum on the internet that may help. I know there are many Steam fans out there who will give Steam glowing praise. However, for me the trust is well and truly gone.
Why didn’t the game work?
It would not boot up from either the desktop shortcut or through my Steam account. It would look like it was starting to load then drop out every time.
Game looks good (STEAM bad) won’t be getting that then.
Reminds me if the good old days of Hexen (hint at age, it used the Doom engine…)
