Fight Beside The Buffalo Soldiers In Warlord’s Bolt Action

Warlord Games has added a new set of miniatures to their webstore for those playing Bolt Action. You can now pre-order the 92nd Infantry Division of the US army known as the Buffalo Soldiers.

The Buffalo Soldiers, named as such in memory of their ancestors fighting during the American Civil War, were deployed into Italy to battle against Italian forces loyal to Mussolini and Germans who were trying to stop the Anglo-American advance.
During their clashes with the Axis, they performed better than many of the experience soldiers serving in the US Army. They battled mostly as a division but they would often band together with others like the 1st Armoured Division too. They even fought alongside the famous 442nd Regimental Combat Team, a band of American troops of Japanese origin who felt they had something to prove to their allies.

During their time in service, they suffered to the tune of 5000 dead, wounded and missing in just a single year. In spite of the difficulty of reinforcing their division they still earned their stripes with two Congressional Medals Of Honour, 1166 Bronze Stars and 1891 Purple Hearts.
If you're looking to play a themed force during your World War II engagements then this might be a good band of heroes to start with. You can also buy a Decal Sheet befitting this division!

Ooooh interesting, fascinating unit, and being one that fought in Italy is this release foreshadowing the release of plastic Italians or is that just me getting my hopes up?

Are these entirely new sculpts ? Warlord has had a Box of Buffalo Soldiers for years in their range
They appear to be the existing US Infantry, just with different heads.
Ooh love the variation to the great figures.
