Black Library Help Tell Of The Return Of Nagash
August 25, 2014 by brennon
Black Library have also joined in on the retelling of The Return of Nagash and they have a hardback book on the way by Josh Reynolds. Will you be delving into this story alongside the rest of the narrative?
"The End Times are coming. As the forces of Chaos threaten to drown the world in madness, Mannfred von Carstein and Arkhan the Black put aside their difference and plot to resurrect the one being with the power to stand against the servants of the Ruinous Powers and restore order to the world - the Great Necromancer himself. As they set about gathering artefacts to use in their dark ritual, armies converge on Sylvania, intent on stopping them. But Arkhan and Mannfred are determined to complete their task. No matter the cost, Nagash must rise again."
I had a read of the new White Dwarf and it was pretty awesome. I can't wait to see what else happens with The End Times narrative and this book should be a fitting start. It will be cool to see how the other characters interact and we're already seeing a return of names like Valten and Archaon.
This book is a bit on the expensive side but you could always go for the eBook if needs be.
Will you be picking this up?

The fluff shouldn’t sell the miniatures. The miniatures should sell the miniatures. But I’m sure this will spur the YA audience forward.
Would explain why anyone bought the centurions…
YA audience? The book isn’t YA.
What’s up with his sky scraper hat? He must have some serious complex about his height.
Could be a phallic thing… compensating. Even though he’s undead, there’s one bone that he’s missing :-).
It could be a fashion thing; big hats might be the in thing among genocidal undead demigods. The bigger the hat, the badder you are, and everyone knows it.
Next thing you know he will be going on pimp my mitre…
His mitre’s a meter.
He thinks that he’s Galactus
I thought the hat was part of the nagash one click collection ?
I may not pick up the models but I’ll certainly be giving this a go, even the most ardent GW basher would admit that the fluff is pretty fun 😛
No, they won’t, because even if it was amazing, they thrive on negativity.
Yeah, but notice how it’s the same few people on BoW making post after post after post (and often several in the same thread) taking the piss out of GW while congratulating each other on how witty and clever they are. Best to just ignore them.
An ‘ignore’ feature would be pretty handy, actually!
Cause GW in its current incarnation is generating so much positivity?
