Black Scorpion Hire An Imperial Captain For Breninmoor Collection
October 13, 2020 by brennon
Black Scorpion Miniatures has a new addition to their 32mm Breninmoor collection this month. Leading the way for a Fantasy skirmish we have the Imperial Captain, a female leader for you to use alongside your grizzled mercenaries.
Imperial Captain (Painted) // Black Scorpion Miniatures
This is a very cool new miniature wielding an impressively large sword and an exceptionally fancy hat. I have very much been in a Mordheim mood of late and I think that this lady would make an exceptional leader to take command of a warband of Marienburgers or Reiklanders.
Imperial Captain (Front) // Black Scorpion Miniatures
The miniature is resin and is packed with detail, as are many of the Black Scorpion miniatures. With a good bit of base coating in the mix and the liberal application of washes, I think this lady would pop.
Imperial Captain (Rear) // Black Scorpion Miniatures
I would very much like to see this miniature dropped into the mix amongst the ruins of Mordheim or maybe adventuring in a Warhammer Fantasy Role-Play campaign. It is well worth checking out the rest of the Breninmoor range including their Grand Master Of The Knights Citadel and City Guard Of The Knights Citadel.
Are you going to be checking out this model range?

Unsure about the scale but design wise she’d fit perfectly into Freebooter Fate I’d say.
It’s 32mm in as much as most 28mm is 32 nowadays more or less I’d say if anything. I’m sure if someone has anything to the contrary they’ll let me know.
I thought Black Scorpion minis were more like regular/non-heroic 28mm.
Then again .. that might be different for each range.
The cowboys certainly didn’t qualify as 32mm
It’s how they describe them on their website. I would assume all the Breninmoor range is slightly bigger than the norm.
Only if your married to GW’s version of heroic scale (and even then there is a bit of a height difference). Historical scale 28mm does look smaller, that said you can still use them together if you don’t mind a few real-life style giants (though I would avoid placing them next tanks and such unless you want their height to stand out). However given that this particular sculpt is female it might fit in better with historical 28mms, they often do.
Holy moly. If I hadn’t sold all my greatswords she’d fit right in the front rank
Beautifully executed!
That’s a fabulous figures.
Wow. Just wow. Loving the flow of the miniature’s clothes and hair, which adds a lot of dynamic for a more or less upright pose. And only £4.50??
That looks really good.
