North Star Show Off Full Oathmark Plastic Skeleton Sprues
October 12, 2020 by brennon
A quick update on some news from last week as we got a peek at the 28mm plastic sprues for the new Oathmark Skeletons which are due for release soon by North Star Military Figures. Take a peek at the options available.
Oathmark Skeletons // North Star Military Figures
As we guessed, the legs and bodies for these skeletons are all one-pieces which makes them much easier to work with that other kits. You've then got a selection of arms, heads and accessories which can then be slotted into the sockets to make your undead army.
There is a good mix of weapons available from swords and axes through to spears and bows. You've also got the elements to make a set of leaders too with standard-bearers, champions and the like. Here are some of the Skeletons painted by the sculptor, Michael Anderson...
Skeleton Warband // Oathmark
Skeleton Warriors // Oathmark
Skeleton Archers // Oathmark
These skeletons should be nice and easy to paint. Whack on that off-white followed by a few spots of colour here and there for their ragged clothing and ancient armour and you should have a legion of the dead ready in no time at all. I am fascinated to see what else comes out to support Oathbreakers as there is the potential to include more metal warriors and spellcasters alongside these plastics.
Are you liking the options they've presented here?

Lots of Good old fashioned skellies with options. What’s not to like. The archers are particularly nice ?
Sold! Look great. Also kind of remind me of the skellies from Disney’s Black Cauldron film from years ago – the Dark Age Welsh inspired undead. Ooh, Saga, there’s a thought…
Jason and the Argonauts! 😉
Lovely mini’s.I’ll make a box of these an early xmas present to myself.
Being skint at the moment they would be good as a skeleton unit as a stop gap force !?!? Lol.
Greatking looking figures.
Am I the only one who sees them in stop-motion movement like in the fantasy movies of the 80s?
Personally I find it hard to see skeleton miniatures without recalling the works of Ray Harry Hausen. I pity younger generations who won’t have grown up on the slightly jerky, unearthily animated skeletons. It really did lend them an air of the unnatural, a thing that should not be.
Sold! I love the Bronze Age look.
This. They look like they could have risen from their tomb and out for revenge after being burgled by Conan.
I am loving these guys. Going with a Northern European Bronze Age theme is a touch of genius and I will definitely be grabbing a box; am looking forward to seeing what the metals will be too.
I believe on FB Northstar have said there will be chariots and cavalry for them too in the same theme…another must buy for me then.
Woo hoo! Need ’em!
Like my Oathmark Christmas list isn’t long enough already!
Pretty nice skellies. Seems like a good variety of bits too.
I am liking that the skulls are not trying the “evil” grinning teeth and eyes look .
The teeth are a little exaggerated – but mainly so that they stand out – nice, Looks good value and a go to for my squad of skellie archers.
These look decent! Id probably replace the heads with GW skulls though.
