I thought this thread was broken up into monthly versions. I hope I’m wrong because I’m putting my latest pictures here.
I have some Kharadron Overlords sitting on my shelf for a long time (rather awkward as one of them was a special character gifted to me by my brother) and I’ve just didn’t know what to do them. I’m not sure I still don’t know, but I got an idea from watching this video on Youtube: https://youtu.be/gMpkklqhs2U.
He mixed Balthazar Gold with a Vallejo green and dry brushed his chaos marines with it. So at about midnight, when I should be going to bed, I’m mixing Vallejo Hammered Copper with the Vallejo Hexed Lichen (a dark purple) and dry brushing my Kharadrons with that (I swear this seemed like a good idea at midnight. And here are the results:
My character, who I’ve apparently glued backwards onto the flying stand because he’s shooting up straight into the air.
And his balloon, which I have no idea who I’m going to attach now.
Well, I like the purple copper drybrush effect, even if I’m not sure where to go from here.
Update: Did I mention I didn’t know how I was going to attach my little robber baron to his lead zeppelin? Because it turned out he attached just fine. He’s probably more securely attached to his ballast than his flight stand.
