Games Workshop has their sights set on something pretty massive for this coming weekend as The Sons Of Behemat are going on pre-order for the Mortal Realms and Warhammer: Age Of Sigmar. A towering new model kit is on the way which allows you to make three different Gargants.

Warstomper - Age Of Sigmar

The first of the Gargants you can make is the Warstomper above which is a new breed of Mega-Gargant in their Fantasy collection. Think of that rather hefty Giant that you remember from Warhammer Fantasy Battles and turn things up to eleven. When it comes to the bigger kits, things can be a toss-up when it comes to Games Workshop but I think that this Warstomper here is a pretty awesome looking giant.

One of the things with Giants (or Gargants in this case) is that you need to make sure you get a sense of their scale. Thanks to additional bits like shields, skulls and the bird atop his shoulder you get a real sense of just how massive these Gargants are.

As well as the Warstomper above you've also got the ability to make two additional Gargants. The first of these is a kinsman who lives by the water, the Kraken-Eater.

I like that they went with something a bit different for another of the variants from the kit. They could have all been big shaggy beefcakes but this fell has something different about him thanks to his preferred home environment. Again, I love all the little touches that give you that sense of scale and there are plenty of little nods here to the different races from the Mortal Realms. This fellow has lots of trinkets which have been claimed from the unfortunate.

Finally for the three Gargants you've also got the Gatebreaker which does, as you might imagine, quite enjoy breaking open gates.

Another rather awesome looking monster with a good dose of character mixed into the sculpt. I think it would be neat to add more narrative to this miniature though, especially around the base. As this fellow seems to enjoy being part of sieges it would be cool to see plenty of rumble from the gatehouse or wall that he's destroyed and maybe a bit more of a battered and beaten look? Imagine him with blast marks over his skin and a few more arrows stuck in his body!

You will also be able to pick up a set of Mancrusher Gargants which are the Giants you know and love from previous editions of Warhammer. These are available now as a pack of two.

This was a lot of fun as a plastic kit as I remember and it also offers up a pretty good way to get the rank and file of your Sons Of Behemat army up and running. For those of you who don't know, you can make an ENTIRE army of these fellows!

The Sons Of Behemat Battletome

As well as the new plastic kit you'll also be able to pick up the new Battletome for this army (Limited Edition version is shown below).

This comes with all of the rules you need to play an entire army of Gargants in your games. You will also be able to include these mighty monsters alongside other factions too as The Sons of Behemat will fight for however can assure them a scrap and plenty of loot.

You will also be able to pick up the normal assortment of extras for your Gargants like cards, tokens and more this coming weekend.

Forgotten Age Of Sigmar Leaders

This weekend also marks the date when you'll be able to pre-order some older miniatures that were only available as part of their Aether War boxed set. You'll be able to snag yourself the Endrinmaster for the Kharadron Overlords...

...and also The Magister on a Disc Of Tzeentch for those who prefer following The Lord Of Change.

This means that if you're playing as one of these more fleshed out factions within the Moral Realms and missed out on Aether War you've now got a chance to snap these up and lead the fighting. They do certainly show off the extremes of Age Of Sigmar with all that technology going up against pure magical power.

What do you make of these new and returning miniatures?

"For those of you who don't know, you can make an ENTIRE army of these fellows!"
