About the Project

You might remember my paintathon project from 2019. If not, follow this link: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1442359/ This year I'll be painting my Blood Bowl Snotling Team with Troll. After that, the 40k Indomitus box gets a kick.

I’m not doing daily updates because I don’t get to paint daily… so here goes the last week

Day 3

Trying my hand on my airbrush for the first layers of colour. At first I was thinking the green would be too poppy but since there will be a lot of different colours and washes on them, I think it’s all fine…. all is fine.

Day 3

Also the Necrons got a bit of silver. Boy is cleaning the airbrush after metallic paints a PITA.

So there is this weird box sitting on my shelf… don’t know where that came from. But it has minis in it. So I’ll paint some of them.

On the picture they are only assembled but they actually are primed black with a generous grey zenithal highlight.

Preparations Part II

Oh and I will try to do some of the major colour blocking work on the necrons and snotlings via airbrush. We’ll see how that will go XD

So this is my snotling team which is now build and primed. More then enough to get 50% of the way 😉

What’s that supposed to be, a “paintathon”? The paintathon is a painting offensive. I want to use my free days and the evenings after work in October to get something done, getting paint on minis. My minimum goal is to paint 42 miniatures (following the km of a marathon) ready to play. The goal is deliberately set so low. This was started by Tom of https://www.magabotato.de in 2016 and happens annually. Join me! Let’s see if I can make it this year.
