First Corps World War I Miniatures Rush Into No-Mans Land
August 18, 2014 by brennon
First Corps have put together a centenary vignette to help commemorate World War I. See what you think of "Over the Top" which will be sold to also help with the charity Soldiers of the Street...
The scene shows three British Officers and a Private charging over the top into No-Mans Land on a forlorn race towards the enemy. If anyone's seen the end of Blackadder then they'll know this kind of scene very well. This could be a neat painting project that you get started on.
What do you think?
The heroic scale does nothing for me, and too many officers but I hope it does well for the charity
Nice idea adding the boards and barbed wire.
The last bit of Blackadder which this is obviously showing did have two captains ( blackadder and darling) and a Lt (george)in the same area plus a Pte (Baldrick)… And not a dry eye in the room.
The model is nice I can’t see it too well but I think it even has Darlings red staff collar tabs.
George even has his stick (can’t face a machine gun without it)
The best line is:
There’s a nasty splinter on that ladder sir a bloke could get hurt on that
