The Assembly Begins
I decided to splurge and got the Battle for the Pacific and Imperial Japanese starter set which included the following:
- Yamato
- Kongo
- Zuikaku
- Suzuya
- Mikuma
- Yahagi
- 3 Kagero Class Destroyers
- Mogami
- Kumano
- Furutaka
- 3 Fubuki Class Destroyers
- 4 Flights of Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero Corsair Fighters/Bombers

One thing I noticed during assembly is that the metal add-ons and light grey resin was the easiest to work with. The dark grey resin felt more like rubber and was not easy to clean up the flash with a file.
Generally it also had more flash than the metal and light grey resin.
The mighty Yamato! This is a really impressive piece and by far is the largest battleship.
