26/8/2020: I've gotten the bronze all done, except the patina which I'll put down once the filigree is finished. Not quite sure how I'm going to do that yet. I have some light blue pigments for the task but I think this wants something a little more green. I'm thinking I might mix the pigments with a blue-green wash I have and see what that does
27/8/2020: I've tested out the crackle medium on the pillar base following the instructions to add depth and textre. It adds very little. I also put some on a bottle top so it can be seen easier. Very dissapointing. Might be ok to add a little damage to some armour or something, or scabs perhaps?
The finished pilllar Tutorial Tile. The stone method is OK, but its all sponge work so can't be used anywhere where mess is an issue
The Necron tile is also done. Again lots of sponge work which is more of a problem for a scheme I'll want to use on models rather than bases. The GSW fluro is so bright I can read by it after dark. Not a huge fan of how its been used in places here though.
Finished the bronze, gold and verdigris and the hair on Kong. No drybrushing on the hair althouhth I really REALLY wanted to. Not sure if I should wash the hait with Nuln Oil to smooth out the transitions, bring down the highlights and return a little depth between hairs. Flesh is yet to be painted.
