Empress Miniatures has added a new piece of kit into the mix for the US Army as they battle through the jungles and fields of Vietnam. You can now pick up a USMC Mule With 106mm Recoilless Rifle for blasting your enemies from afar.

This set comes with the vehicle and its three crew so a driver and then two gun operators. As well as the gun mounted on the back of the Mule you will also get a separate gun which can be planted into the ground.

In addition to the vehicle and the big gun, you will also notice that you get a bunch of accessories which can be used to add a bit more narrative to the piece on the tabletop. This includes the likes of stowage as well as spare heavy explosive and flechette rockets.

These Rifles weren't exactly the most accurate of options and they didn't have very good range either but they could fling projectiles much heavier than you'd normally be able to contend with without having to pin down a bigger weapon. They were also very lightweight and easy to handle by infantry which meant that they could be lugged around the battlefield with relative ease.
Are you going to be adding one of these to your USMC force?

I just checked the Empress website and the model is 28mm scale and you can find it under “Vietnam” … “Vehicles”.
Btw. there are some very nice vehicles to be found there, such as a T54, M113 and more. First time I saw this and I´m excited.
different.

Now me I just want one because of fond memories of both the Recoiles Rifle & the M8c .50 Cal. Spotting Rifle mounted on top of it, & the M274 Platform Utility Truck (Mule). I was a 45Bravo Small Arms Repairman US Army covers everything from .22 cal. pistol to 4.2 in (107mm) Mortar. I drove a Mule at two different bases. On post on problem, off road the complete lack of a suspension system beat you to death if you tried for any speed.
