It is the closing weeks of 1940, Germany is bombing England’s city’s nightly. England is weathering the storm sent by Germany alone, it will be nearly anther year before pearl harbour and Americas entry to the war.

Our party is sent to Darkisle a small island in the channel islands chain. They are tasked with gathering intelligence and if practical to preform sabotage on any enemy military assets.

our party was dropped off in a small cove north of port Catterick and on route to the port they had their first encounter with a shambling mob . On entering the port itself , they found it abandon for around 3 months. they spent the night in the pickled pig public house. where in the cellar they found the partly chewed on body of the landlord.

On the dawning of the next day the party returned the forest near the landing cove to pick their gear up. They then moved over land to Murthock , to find a similarly diverted village. But with an out of omission Opal blitz truck half off the road near the bridge leading in to Muthock.

Having had a quick poke around in the empty Muthock , the party followed the old military road up to the old bunker (the dotted line leading out of Muthock) When the group reached the bunker , after skirting some zombie packs. They find a Char B tank with German markings. But are unable to start it , due to electrical problems with the tank.

In the buildings that form a small military base, that served as a staging hospital in the 1914 -1918 war. they found documentation to a Dr H west dated 1919 just after the wars end, that referred to a chemical process. They also found a vial of bright green liquid.

On approaching the bunker , the party noted that it had been sealed up from inside . but the bunker had been reopen from the outside and on entering they were imminently surrounded by  zombies. and in the distance there was a gramophone playing early 20th century popular music.

Going deeper into the bunker half on their own will power and half being herded by the zombies. they enter what once was the commanding officer and are greeted by a officer in 1st world war uniform , who seams to have a wax mask on .

The officer is Major Sir Chapman-Lee, informs the part that his “boys” (the zombies) and himself are not the threat that they seams to be. The Major informs the group that there is an altar on the island they need to find and destroy. He tells them it is west of their current location , but is unable to pin point the exact location for the party. He hands the party each a silver amulet ( pictured in the mythos section) Julie and Thorsten take one each. Bryan takes two, as Howard refuses to have any thing to do with the item. The symbol matches symbols found on the two public house door frames, that the group had used as over night bases .

On leaving the bunker the party head up Hobb’s top , where they find an ancient stone altar .  The altar has the “cute” picture ( found in the mythos section) carved on to it. Howard tries to shoot the symbol , with no effect. The part leaves Hobbs top and skirt around Strider Knoll , where they can make out on its summit some buildings outlines in the mist. And go to Slee top where they find and ancient henge. There they find a footpath leading down to Carnven. the party takes this path till it meets the main road to the fishing hamlet. they then follow the road . until they are challenged ” halt who goes there !”
