Next up is Zhaydan Intervention Troops again the next one I got in trade. I have to say I want that enthusiastic after the Khawarjs. I couldn’t have been more wrong. These models were excellent and so fun to paint. Odd as they have almost the exact the same colours as the Khawarjs minus the red. The sculpts seemed imposing and arrogant and I actually feel the paintjob I gave them accentuated that. It’s rare I am very pleased with the final outcome of a paintjob I always see the flaws, these however pushed me on and ensured they were done. They were also even quicker to paint as they had no flesh showing and no eyes to paint. I think these took two nights to paint. So that’s about 2 – 3 hours a model which is quick for me. Probably took the same time to 3d print the bases…

Super pleased with these models and the paintjob. If this were a 40K army and I had 300 to paint I don’t think I would mind that much. Sadly I now want to make my own Haqqislam force now just to get these in it. I cant though, as you will see throughout this I think I have a problem. Starting to think hookers, drinking and gambling would be cheaper.
