*plopping helmets on himself @sundancer and @limburger before settling saber in scabbard and pistol in holster* Better take them out behind the toolshed my friend where the rest won’t see the shame of it all. Then again The Company of Greybeards might well need to make a rather public display
I got a chuckle when Ben said that on the Weekender. I once had that very argument with one of the ‘youngsters’ (he was in his 20’s, me in my late 40’s) at work who insisted it was Mel Brooke’s best work. My response was ‘Have you never SEEN Blazing Saddles? Young Frankenstein? History of the World?’
So this is what the epitaph of dear Old Ben would look like in recounting the heretical stance he took with his doomed Womble-y horde before falling to the Schwartz
So @brennon is the leader of a movement now…
My followers are called Wombles – all are welcome
Are they allowed to womble free underground or overground? Or are there rules?
They may womble wherever they desire – as long as they pick up plenty of litter
its whatever Uncle Bulgaria decides
and what an excellent and truthful movement it is
So @caesar is a traitor too… shame… *clip loading noises* shame….
yep … hang the traitors.
Call Dark Helmet

I’m in full agreement with Ben here. Spaceballs is just juvenile humor at best.
Blazing Saddles is quality Mel Brooks
Blazing Saddles is genuinely my favourite film. Spaceballs is ok but yeah Mr Brooks did better.
what about “History of the World (part 1)” ?
Love ‘Blazing Saddles’.
But my all time favorite is ‘Young Frankenstien’. ??

Let’s not forget High Anxiety his homage to Hitchcock or Silent Movie where the only character who speaks outloud is a mime.
As an aside, ANYTHING with Zero Mostel (Producers, Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum…) is required watching.
as Buzz Aldrin said Neal before me ?
