Forge World Fires Up To Release New Miniatures This Weekend
July 31, 2020 by brennon
Forge World has been firing up once more to produce new miniatures for The Horus Heresy and plenty of the other specialist games in the Games Workshop collection. We start with a new character, Qin Xa; Master Of The Keshig.
Qin Xa // The Horus Heresy
Here is the background on this particular character from The Horus Heresy...
"An exceptional warrior even before he ascended to the ranks of the White Scars, Qin Xa fought alongside Jaghatai Khan during their youth on Chogoris. He was frequently described by his Primarch as one of the most formidable warriors of the Legion, having mastered the art of the hunt at a young age, and he brought his skills to bear during the Great Crusade and the Horus Heresy that was to follow."
The miniature is wearing a unique set of Tartaros Terminator Armour which has been designed to suit the White Scars Legion. He comes with his matched Dao blades called the Tails Of The Dragon and is a seriously cool look at more of the unique characters from the history of the Space Marines.
I also really like the fact that his scenic base comes complete with a destroyed Contemptor Dreadnought which has been utterly ripped apart by Qin Xa.
Forge World - Looking Ahead
As well as the new miniature Qin Xa, you'll also be able to soon pick up some new miniatures for the realm of Necromunda with House Escher Champions...
House Escher Champion // Necromunda
Forge World has been doing some seriously good stuff when it comes to the additional characters for Necromunda. There is a seriously awesome rogue's gallery of goodness for you to dive into and help add a bit more character to your force.
If you prefer things on a smaller scale then you can also look forward to the Arvus Lighter coming to Aeronautica Imperialis.

As the team from Forge World have been talking about in blogs and across social media, this is just the tip of the iceberg right now. They are also going to be working on new miniatures for Middle-earth, Adeptus Titanicus and Blood Bowl to name a few.
Are you going to be picking up this new miniature from Forge World?

Ooh Qin Xa looks fantastic an the Arvus lighters are a great edition to the imperial fleet.
Been thinking of selling my Adeptus Titanicus loot but recently seen the Vanguard Miniatures range and that’s opened up a whole nostalgia for Epic. Thinking a Arvus or two might not be a bad purchase with a few additions from the online store here.
I was thinking of selling my Adeptus Titanicus boxed set but recently been looking over the vanguard miniatures range and that’s opened a while nostalgic can of worms for epic. I’m thinking a Arvus or two plus some other purchases from the online store here could be in the works
You should keep the flyers if you play 40k save you a fortune on the 28mm one’s. @ands
Your right there. I was listening to someone do a unboxing Zorg and he planned to use 6/8mm scale for for the Apocalypse rule set and I thought well this looks a cheaper and more manageable way to play a mass battle game. I haven’t played standard 40K since rouge trader in school but Epic was always a firm fav of mine, my second edition box was much loved. This youtuber was saying vanguard do a in-house set of rules for 50p so may as well pick it up and have a gander. Excuse the duplication above first comment didn’t… Read more »
Yes @ands Epic was great and the model’s for the new version are fantastic looking.
Mighty Empire’s was great as well I think anyway.Lol
Probably a glitch in a cogitator?
I never got to play Mighty Empires but from what I remember it looked like a cracking game with some lovely additions released for it back in the day. The idea of controlling massed armies and legions over that hex board is very appealing. There’s a full copy going in ebay for £41 right now but happily up to my shiny metal posterior with my kickstarter commitments so will have to look at picking it up another time hopefully.
I remember Mighty Empires being a not very good game but the tiles and other accessories you got in the box being excellent for other things
Always great to get another take on it @torros. I wish I had got around to trying it for myself, the scale and concept appealed to me but the paper round pocket money could only stretch so far with all the lovely White Dwarf articles back in the day. Missed out on Warmaster as well. Great news about a possible release of Heroquest mind, that and my cousins Space Crusade were my entry into this hobby of ours ?
Never played Heroquest. I think I fell into the wrong age bracket
I’m showing my age. I remember many a Sunday afternoon over a friends house delving through heroquest with a plate of biscuits and orange squash brought up by his mam ?
Those are soe great looking miniatures. While from Qin Xa is highlight that House Escher Champion is nothing to sneeze at either and those Arvuses make good addition for Aeronautica Imperialis.
I’ve no desire to collect White Scars but blimey that Qin Xa is something else. The stitched together armour panels, the pose, that mask. One of the best models I’ve seen from Forge World in a while.
Qin Xa looks like the pig enemies from Zelda BotW : D
