North Star Fire Up Frostgrave 2nd Edition Pre-Orders & Plastic Kits
July 23, 2020 by brennon
North Star Military Figures are now taking pre-orders for the new Frostgrave 2nd Edition Rulebook plus a bunch of additional miniatures which support the game. With pre-orders of the main Rulebook, you'll have the added bonus of getting your hands on the Thaumaturge Apprentice Wizard to match the new master miniature.
Thaumaturge Apprentice // Frostgrave
As mentioned above, this miniature comes alongside the Thaumaturge miniature which would be a great way to kick off your collection with a new pairing of models. Of course, Frostgrave 2nd Edition is available from all manner of different outlets but at least through North Star Military Figures, you can also bundle it with a free miniature and the option for more of their plastics kits.
Frostgrave Plastic Knight Miniatures
Talking of plastic miniatures, North Star Military Figures also showed off more of the combinations you can craft from their new Knights plastic set which is also part of the pre-order options for Frostgrave 2nd Edition.
Frostgrave Knight With Hammer & Shield // Northstar Military Figures
Frostgrave Knight With Two-Handed Axe // Northstar Military Figures
As well as these more heavily armed and armoured looking individuals who seem like they are suited to a bit of a brawl, you'll also be able to build Knights who are going to be taking different positions amongst your warband, perhaps scampering across rooftops or shooting from afar...
Frostgrave Knight With Twin Swords // Northstar Military Figures
...or getting ready to stab you in the back with a pair of swords! As with all of the options from North Star's plastic kits, you can mix and match them as you see fit. The bodies and legs are one-piece but the heads and arms plus all of the accessories can be swapped between them to create unique and interesting warbands.
Frostgrave Knight With Crossbow // Northstar Military Figures
In comparison to the Soldier kits from before, these give you better-armoured individuals who look like they might have survived a few scrapes in Felstad already and come out with some gold to buy better equipment. They matter not to your Wizard and Apprentice of course in the grand scheme of things but perhaps you have your sights set on a more martial group instead?
Frostgrave Knight With Bow // Northstar Military Figures
This set doesn't just work nicely for Frostgrave either. With the addition of more accessories and weapon options, these could be great to mix together with other sets to create a group for use in another of the North Star supported games, Rangers Of Shadow Deep. Beyond that, these would be great for making really fun warbands and armies of Humans in practically any Fantasy game.
What do you make of these options from North Star?

I looked at buying this last night and came to the conclusion I only need the rulebook, decided that couldn’t be right and I should sleep on it.
For anyone looking around the pre-order, the two Frostgrave novels are genuinely good. The author: one “Matthew” Ward ?
Always up for a good read will go take a look thanks ?
In the novels, is there any mention about a certain spiritual liege? Or is there a knightly order dressed in ultramarine blue capes and tabards that all other knightly orders aspire to be?
That Knight With Two-Handed Axe reminds me of something…. what say you Conan?
Great looking figures.
Those look really good.
