A beute gun, the Soviet M1939 52-k 85mm AA gun was captured and used in large numbers by the Germans.
In the last months of the war, many used in AA positions on the Westwall came into use as AT guns. Many guns were also relined so that they could use German 88mm ammunition.
This gun is a relined 8.5cm M39r now using 8.8cm flak ammunition and crewed by a Waffen SS unit.
