It’s the XLBS Show! Happy Sunday CoGs….. Congrats to @capta1n5kyhawk I’m glad that I’m not the only person that looks closely at packaging material before tossing it out. I’ve been scratch building for decades and learned a long time ago not to toss without a ponder or two. WELL DONE! @curis love the old Space Marines. @dane001 I’ve always wanted one of those dragons! Really nice paint job on that mini (is it still a mini?) Very nice. This weekend I’ve been working on my American War of Independence miniatures. Boy did I find a great resource book for painting… Read more »
I forgot to ask my fellow CoGs………where can I get houses and buildings for my American War of Independence tables? I’m even open to paper models just to get started, but really want some nice long lasting models that can take paint and some weathering.
Thanks for any info CoGs! ??
Haha, thanks. I suppose she’s not so much a mini, even at 15mm lol
Happy Sunday! You do realise that glossy American wrestling WWX s#!t was and still is all a sham, unlike the real TV wrestling of my era with Big Daddy (Blond Adonis Shirley Crabtree), Giant Haystacks, masked villain Kendo Nagasaki (in no way a 70s racist stereotype) and Mighty John Quinn. For a start their names were so much better!* You just wait until that pile of recyclable bits I’ve put aside over a number of years is actually turned into something other than a pile of rubbish… * Don’t worry, I didn’t watch that s#!t either, that was ITV rubbish… Read more »
I remember my Grandmother who was tiny and also being Edwardian the most ladylike person I have ever met, on a Saturday afternoon watching the wrestling and advising the combatants in ways that would shame a Liverpool docker. That was in the era of Jackie Pallo.
That’s proper wrestling… Mick McManus, Dynamite Kid all legends World of Sport on a Saturday afternoon ?
If GW/Citadel paints were really as innovative as they claim, they’d have sorted out a tartan paint by now…
Happy Sunday!!!!
It’s 1:30 AM right now, am I going to stay up and watch this or just say ‘hi’ and go to bed like I know I should?
It was a damn rough week, I’m stealing this time for myself and watching while I work on more gnolls.
I’ll go to bed at 3 AM and then sleep until I feel like waking up. 🙂 It is Sunday after all…. 🙂 🙂 🙂
I just copied the Binary into a translator and sifted through languages until I got it. I loved Rome until I learned the real history now I just look at it and see massive lost opportunities. They have Caesar and Pompey both as Consul at the same time at the start of the Civil War. The whole f*cking point of the Civil War was Caesar was trying to run for Consul so if he was the Consul the whole thing is useless. Basically Caesar did some questionable stuff while Consul about 10 years earlier but he couldn’t be charged since… Read more »
Don’t need to go via Hex if you just consider 2 sets of 4 as a Byte… for speed simply used an Excel equation:
=CHAR( BIN2DEC( ## )) …Where ## is the cell reference to the cell with the 8 bit binary value.
So is there still xp for golden buttons?
Asking for a friend…..?
I was never into WWE/WWF wrestling always thought it was codswallop. I grew up watching boxing though my brother was a massive wrestling fan. I much preffered to watch Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, Roberto Duran, John Conteth, Barry Mcguigan and Lloyd Honeyghan.
Happy Sunday All ?
So Warren wants to start a cultist group focused on colour called the CCC? They sound like dislexic white supremacists.
Happy Sunday folks
Not even indulging Lloyd with his “hobby” time? Rome is a great TV show, they make the city feel truly lived in, it was just a shame that it was cut after two seasons, it meant a lot of history needed to be packed into that last season.
lol 🙂 – I didn’t have stuff ready to show.
But Lloyd your sunlight bleaching of your cart has become a staple of the show, just feels wrong to skip everyone trying to judge weather it’s got lighter . . .
lol NICE!
Happy Sunday !!!!
Thanks for putting my XP on the chopping block this week @lloyd. If I lose it all me and you are going to be re-enacting your sister’s People’s Elbow moment and Warren can be the ref 😉 I imagine I weigh a lot more than your sister did too hehe.
I love the Songs of Ice and Fire minis, such a nice looking range.
Your welcome.
@warzan
Re your trees, why don’t you print off some scary tree faces and simply stick them to the trees you 3D print as I’m sure that’s going to be cheaper than the GW route with dryads
@Warzan Warren, have you looked at Caliver’s Minifigs range? They do old school metal Tree Men in their Aureolo Rococo range
Lol great intro XLBS.
Is the link to submit the codebuster answer always the same? Didn’t get an email this time….
Not always but yes this time its https://www.beastsofwar.com/redemption/
Big Daddy an Giant haystack would kick all their asses?!? Lol
On the subject of soft drinks cans as terrain, Warbases sells a few mdf conversion kits to turn them into sci-fi industrial terrain.
Hulk Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior was Wrestlemania VI. 🙂
I’m hopeless at the code bustering like algebra I see it an my brain go’s NFW and turns off.
Anybody point me to a youtube link for the covid 19 video… really funny… i need to spread the love
BIG DADDY……
Safety warning – playing wrasslin’ is well dangerous. My fake elbow drop properly connected once, cue one lad being driven to A&E with concussion. I was old enough to know better but drink had been taken. That was quite a party!
Anyway the Undertaker was the best and everyone else was/is rubbish.
An the show his triple X.
With regards the dampening down off the contrast paints (which I haven’t used) don’t you just need to resort to old trusty and agrax earthshade the hell out off the paint job? Problem solved.
