You may be aware that I'm a fan of Fogou Models and their fantastic range of resin buildings for dark age gaming, the fact that I can also sneak some of them onto Star Wars tables is an added bonus. Well they've launched a new range of buildings and they've swapped the Celtic drystone buildings for Adobe mudbricks. These are scaled for 28mm and are perfect for a host of games and time periods, from the bronze age of Troy through to colonial warfare, desert warfare in world war 2 or a planet in a galaxy, far, far away.

This One Is Locked, Move Along

Fogou Adobe Buildings

Having been through Kickstarter the range is fully realised with three sizes of buildings available in a variety of styles, so you can quickly build up a unique village to play through and they even have optional fronts for the buildings if you want to make up something more spectacular for your village chief, or cantina.

The buildings themselves are resin cast and even though I always give mine a scrub first they apparently can be painted straight out of the box so you can get them onto the table in short order. The doors supplied are either wooden or metal depending on your choice of genre but I honestly don't think that matters too much if you are planning on using them in different games you could get away with a door of either spec in a neutral colour.

Accessories Market Stalls & Adobe Walls

There are plenty of companies that make terrain but one of the reasons I like the Fogou Models ranges are the little touches that give a more realistic look to the settings. In this instance Fogou have small feature pieces that you can add to make it look like this is a living place, whether that is roof hatches and wooden ladders or market stalls, it's these touches that I'm really starting to appreciate more and more to prevent things from just looking set on pieces. If you are planning on using them for Sci-fi games there are random greeblies that can be stuck onto the walls to make it look more like Mos Eisley.

All in all it's another great range for gamers and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of these in my own gaming. So if you're purely historical or dabble in pulp or sci-fi Fogou Models is definitely worth checking out.
