Unboxing: Clash of Spears | Carthage Starter Set (Victrix Miniatures)
June 17, 2020 by avernos
Today we're taking an in-depth look at the Carthage starter set for Historical miniatures wargame, Clash Of Spears.
Gerry gets to grips with this large box from Victrix and shows us all that lies within. Unboxing this Clash of Spears starter set he finds quite a number of sprues that will help you build a great starter army for the game. The only question is will it be enough to stop the Romans in their tracks!?
Are you thinking of picking up the Carthaginians for Clash of Spears?

I won’t be picking this up as I have a lot of the minis already (a planned Impetus project that never got off the ground). They are dashed lovely figures though.
nice.
These are splendid…at least two of the grandsons will be playing these. There is even an elephant in the future. I hope to see an @avernos Slamfest featuring the Great Wookie and Lloyd…bare knuckles optional
Also hoping to see some more Oathmark content! Just a modest suggestion.
I hope so, just after we have a Saga game probably 😉
Oathmark is definitely on the cards, we had planned a Let’s play before the lockdown
Does this mean @avernos has more carthage done than @lloyd
A challenge has been issued!
Won’t matter, they will be crushed by the might of Rome!
Romanes eunt domus
The Romans, they go into the house?!
What is this! 😉 😛 😉
Liking the look of these guy
s, some very nice minis. The only down side to the box set is, horses i hate painting animals, but on the other i have to start somewhere. I have been looking back in history, and wondered if i was to go down that route where would i start. It looks like i may have found my starting point, or Gerry
s good at mind control games and convinces you it
s what you need. 😉Definitely the best. Far far better than Rome.
I’ve built my first box of these. Great models. Only issue is you have to buy lots of different packs of shield transfers. Would be better if their was a pack that contained all the ones you need for the complete box. Still I guess my second box will use some up too.
