About the Project
This project is focusing on recreating two armies from the classic Fantasy wargame, Knights and Magick. Knights and Magick was first published by Heritage USA in 1980. The rulebook is still available currently from The Gaming Gang website in both .pdf and rulebook. Miniatures used in this project are vintage Heritage and Custom Cast miniatures or official recasts from Classic Miniatures. I will be assembling, converting, and painting Lizardmen and Orcs and Goblins. Information on Heritage miniatures can be found on the Lost Minis Wiki here: https://tinyurl.com/ycekyf8q

Lizardman Hero Conversion
I started working on this converted hero for my lizardmen force. I used a standard Heritage Lizardman with a sword and shield.
I cut the right arm and added a trident I got from an old Custom Cast Lord of the Rings miniature. I added greenstuff armor plates, head-crest, and assorted bits.
So far so good. I am taking my time and using a very old color palette to make it match as close as possible to the old school style of painting.
Troglydyte Cleric conversion
Today I would like to share a conversion I did for a cleric to add to my Lizardfolk army. This was originally a Dungeon Dwellers Troglodyte. I repositioned the arm to be pointing, added some wire arm cuffs and changed his mace out for a magic staff.
Knights and Magick had very little diversity when it came to heroes. I thought it best to go ahead and make my own. I painted him with Coat D Arms paints. I am pretty happy with the outcome.
Next up will be an Orc bannerman conversion. Thanks!
The progress so far..
Working on this project is a labor of love and a test of my hobby skills. I will be working with very old miniatures and working off of rules and articles that are older than most of the current gaming community.
The first piece I have finished is this giant lizard. Originally from the John Carter, Warlord of Mars miniature line from Heritage. I am happy with the color scheme and it was an easy project to start on.
In my next entry I will document the army composition, and what models I will be using as well as a conversion for a Lizardman Cleric that I have done.
