Shoot the Allies Down with the Afrika Korps’ 2cm Flak
July 27, 2014 by dracs
Warlord Games are taking your German forces into Africa and have equipped them with a new light anti-aircraft gun to take care of those allied planes.
The 2cm Flak 38 was apparently the primary light anti-aircraft gun used by the Germans during WWII and saw deployment in a number of different German forces.
Warlord have also released a mounted variant, with the 2cm Flak on the back of a German Heer Horch to allow you a greater level of mobility, letting you bring your anti-aircraft fire power to wherever it is needed.
Both of these will no doubt be a welcome addition to the German Afrika Korps, and provide a versatile new piece for dealing with the enemy aircraft.
Do you like these minis? What can you tell us about the 2cm's Flak history?

Very pleased to see historical content make a comeback on BoW . . . and very pleased to see FoW coming out with vehicles / equipment that were actually produced in significant numbers (a lot of their stuff lately has been great minis . . . just of vehicles of which literally 4-5 were ever made). This was a light, utilitarian weapon that was very useful, employed on every front of the war, and made in the thousands. On top of all that, it actually looks like a great miniature! Well done!
+1 for the ‘..historical content makes a comeback on BoW..’…its been 40k non-stop for weeks and weeks now. I know they are the biggest out there, etc, etc.. and Infinity week is coming up, but still..just my two pfennings.
It really has been a lot of 40K, fantasy, and sci-fi lately, @bitrider , Transformers and “Morning on the Monkey Planet,” etc. etc. I fully acknowledge that the rest of the Beast of War community probably felt the same way during the “Waterloo Era” we all passed through in mid-June, but with everything we’ve just had plus the Infinity week coming up, I’d say the scales have been balanced. 🙂
These are for Bolt Action.
FOW has had these for ages.
Okay, now I feel silly. Next time, drink more coffee before posting. 🙁
