Answering the Call to Arms (Elder Scrolls)
Pt 1: Hey, you! Finally Awake.
So ive decided to finally begin a project of my own after being a member of this community for several years, and I decided that The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms would be perfect to do my first project with.
This project will contain my progress with painting the minis, and maybe some terrain occasionally as well. So, lets begin!
I bought the promo Dragonborn as soon as it came out (can’t remember when, was it last year?) and of course painted him straight away, and I also bought the Legendary Dragon from the Joan of Arc game from eBay, so i already had the two essential models for a Skyrim based game, the dragon, and the Dragonborn. I don’t have any in-progress shots of these as they were painted months ago.
I can’t remember how i painted the Dragonborn mini, however for the dragon, that was simply base coated with a red, followed up with a red shade or two, then dry-brushed up to lighter shades and eventually an orange in some places. The darker areas (veins on the wings, spines/fins on the back) were then coated in a purple shade. The softer undersides (belly, neck) were done with bone colours with Agrax Earthshade of the top, then dry-brushed. The legs (if i remember correctly) were done using steel legion drab with more earthshade and dry-brushing.
So I’ve assembled all the minis from the first wave of releases, and they are sprayed ready for painting, and I’m rather looking forward to this. Have’t decided what I’m going to paint first, but regardless, I will do my best to keep this project updated
