Commander Glofski Goes to War...
Commander Glofski’s Leman Russ is mounted onto the base after weathering. First of all metal chipping was achieved by using a sponge [from an old blister packaging] and dry brushing with chainmail. I selected parts where the tank would encounter potential damage. Once dry, I used Forge World light rust powder to dust around the chipped ‘damaged’ areas and continued the powder weathering on the base, especially on the metallic debris.
nice to see it done, watching the transfer failure was interesting, sometimes people let failures on new techniques break their motivation on a project so I was very happy to see you persevere and polish it off. Really great little project and I loved to see it come together.
Many thanks. I think if this was your only tank in an army, you may be reluctant to experiment with things like transfers. At £30 it’s a bit of an expensive kit to muck up, but as I had cobbled it together with spare parts having picked it up second-hand, and also having 25 or so tanks, I had a bit of luxury in playing around with this one.
