New North Star Elf Characters Support Oathmark Armies
June 1, 2020 by brennon
North Star Military Figures has added a range of new miniatures into the mix for those playing the mass battle wargame, Oathmark: Battles Of A Lost Age by Osprey Games. New knife-eared Elves are banding together to conquer kingdoms.

The main set of releases is a selection of new metal miniatures to complement the Light Infantry plastic set. Above you can see the new set for the Elf King, Wizard & Musician II as well as the Elf Light Infantry Champions. These give you more shadowy and stealthy options for those building themed forces.
I think these miniatures are better than the original set of characters for the Elf kingdoms. I like the poses a lot more and I think they fit the scale and proportions of the plastic models a lot better. That isn't to say I don't like the old models; they're fine, but I'd easily replace them with these, especially if I was theming a force to match a roving band of adventurers and mercenaries.
Oathmark Elf Hunt Master
For all orders made during June (over £25) from the North Star Military Figures webstore, you'll also get yourself a free Elf Hunt Master.
The dogs don't come with this particular model but you can also buy them separately from their webstore. The Hunt Master makes up a small skirmishing unit for the game which can be used to rush forward and harry your enemies, threatening their exposed flanks. This is a great little model and a nice reward for those who are buying up miniatures during this current crisis.
Oathmark's Wingless Wyrms; Here Be Dragons
The Oathmark Wingless Dragon is also now available from North Star too. This monstrous beast can be dropped into your force as a terrifying foe to unleash on your enemies.
If you're into your Tolkien and Middle-earth mythology then these kind of dragons are going to be a good fit for your army. I love the idea of having one of these drakes mixed in with a force which draws on archetypes and choices based on Norse mythology. I think it would be a lot of fun to paint up as well, especially with those raised scales and ridged back.
What do you make of these new releases for Oathmark?

I love the paint job on these – great looking figures.
Really nicely done minis and paintjobs
Been keeping my eye on these for Saga: Age of Magic.
Really like the paintjob on those lovely minis!
The dragon itself is made of resin but it’s unlikely that i’ll get one since i don’t need another dragon mini
the small group is a great instant questing force.
I want to see the hunt master lined up with those bunnies that Gerry is working on.
Love the Dark Age feel of Oathmark, which is nicely represented in these minis.
They’re really nice, maybe the start of a new little warband for me…
Those are some good looking elves. Those hounds and that dragon also look good.
I’ve no interest in Oathmark but they would be great for Frostgrave
