The Arado 234B comes roaring into Flames of War!

Ok so I thought I was pretty well versed in WWII and the equipment used therein. Some how I did not know about the Arado 234B, a late war reconnaissance / bomber that had jet propulsion and saw action in the waning days of the war.
Everyone knows about the Messerschmitt 262, but this was a new one for me. From what I have been able to read, this was actually a pretty successful aircraft and was able to avoid most Allied aircraft with ease. Just imagine if Germany had these airplanes much earlier in the war, even the great Battle of Britain might have turned out differently?
So now with Battlefront Miniatures new release, you can grab a couple of these and add them to your army and relive some of the final battles of the war, such as the Bridge at Remagen or many of those what ifs. The model itself looks pretty good and with a really nice paint job can add a lot to your table.
Will your Luftwaffe be joining the jet age?
Nice addition to good game.
I never knew this existed either. It sounds pretty cool 🙂
Like many other projects, this one was subject to interference and attempts at micromanagement. They built a huge bomber that flew the Atlantic and returned all in the same trip. It was a proof of concept for bombing the US east coast:

There are alot of other prototypes or even low volume production wacky aircraft that would not look out of place in DUST.

Just as well we had Hitler to screw up the planning or they may have won.
