If you are a fan of all things Marvel, then you may have heard that WizKids announced a second wave of HeroClix is on the horizon! Marvel HeroClix: Guardians of the Galaxy will be based on the upcoming feature film, Guardians of the Galaxy.
Now you can relive the battle between Star-Lord and Ronan the Accuser and of course, there will be fan favorites like Rocket Raccoon and Groot! Sounds like it's time for a trip to your FLGS...
Will you be picking up these "Marvelous" new HeroClix?

Heroclix aren’t for me and I accept that they’re aiming at a different market who aren’t interested in getting figures that are really accurate to the films (at least I presume that’s their target market, because they certainly don’t look that similar) but that said…
Why is Groot SO big.
I mean, I know he’s big but c’mon- that’s ridiculous! They even had an image to at least attempt to get scales kinda close: http://cdn1-www.craveonline.com/assets/uploads/2013/07/Guardians-of-the-Galaxy.jpg
I’m pretty sure that figures aren’t based on that new movie…
Surely heroclix are releasing these because of the new movie and aiming them mostly at kids who get into the universe and love the film so I’m pretty sure they’re basing them off the film.
Groot’s size is variable and I have a feeling he will grow big in the movie too!

I didn’t realise he could grow much bigger actually, thanks for the info! 🙂
Ah yes, these movie tie in Heroclix sets. These days there really can’t be comic book movie that dosen’t get it’s own set. I really miss time when Heroclix sets were purely based on comic books instead of also having comic book movie sets.
