With these tutorial videos teaching you the basics of the game and helping you with some of the more intriguing mechanics you should be ruling these small outback towns in no time!
What do you think about the Influence Mechanic in Wild West Exodus?
Love these little videos, they really do explain things very well and so much more enjoyable than serching a rulebook. 🙂
Is it just me or does anybody else find thast no matter how high the target number, if you influence it you get the roll first time, yet if you have a low roll and dont influence it you almost always roll a 1….dark forces at work indeed methinks
Hehe, sods law i think. I am in the mindset of accepting fate and use influence for initiative. But there are a lot of high influence builds out there. 🙂
@broadside yup I think my sons outlaws are pretty heavy on the influence. We’re playing $1000 a side and he uses
Jesse James,
Frank James,
Johnny Ringo,
Cole Younger,
Jim younger,
Apache Kid,
Jake Williamson,
Iron Horse with RP,
sniper,
1 cc bandit
1 lr bandit
and it gives him 11 influence (compared to the 7 for my lawmen build).
Eek sorry @Biggabum on phone and pressed thumb down by accident. 🙁
+2 thumbs up for you dear sir. Hehe. That is a very heavy character build indeed, especially a 1000 point list. Does he got out activated during games or xoes it wirk well?
Actually he doesnt do too bad. He does tend to only be able to activate one or two at a time early on, just so his opponent doesnt flood him at the end of the turn, but he can whittle hired hands down pretty quickly so he’s usually on a fairly even footing in later turns.
I think hes played seven games and won 3 although one of his losses was when i was going through the rules with him.
Well that seems like an even enough team then. 🙂 wha do you play as?
Lawmen.
Originally started off with Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, Virgil Earp, an interceptor, shotgun deputy and then filled up to the $1000 with hired hands but have taken a leaf out of my lads book and dropped some of the hired hands and added berenger and fredrickson. Not yet played a game with my new build but should get one in this week.
Since the update of the HH you ahould get at least 10 in your list as you get a free Light support HH. 😉 or is that what you have done? I love HH peraonally, with Outlaws being able to get multiple snipers on the look out is amazing too imho! Only a few weeks left in my journeyman league and shall be running a WWX demo game or two to get my club further into it. Just hoping that we can get the models in the UK a bit easier soon so i can update my lists to include… Read more »
Actually, I never thought of that, thanks. If I drop frederickson it should give me some $ to play with too. I’ve considered running a league for my club, but as you say the mini’s are a little hard to get at the moment (I waited over a month before having to cancel an order from wayland) and its putting people off a little even though they like the game. I have actually found it cheaper and faster to order direct from outlaw at the moment, the postage is pretty much what they charge here and the mini’s are usually… Read more »
