Raging Heroes Tease What’s Next For 3D Printing Patreon
April 22, 2020 by brennon
Raging Heroes has been teasing what's coming up in May for their Heroes Infinite 3D Printing Patreon. They have been talking pirates for the last few weeks but it looks like things are growing a few more legs next month!
This is of course just a little teaser of what is to come but there is plenty more on the way. I would assume we're going to be seeing lots of spindly-legged creatures with plenty of claws and other sharp pointy sticks in the mix.
3D Printing Progress
As well as taking a peek at what's coming next, Raging Heroes recently posted on their blog about how some of the community have been getting on with the pirates they made available. Here are just a few of the highlights I picked out.
The quality of the sculpts is looking great and it appears that a lot of folks who have access to printers have been able to get some good looking final products from those files. Whilst the above painted option is obviously very nice, this next shot shows what they look like before they've been finished. I think this shows off how they come out when they get prised from the printer a little better.
Obviously there is a lot of clean-up involved but it's good to see that these sculpts are coming along nicely and that a community is building up, working on these and sharing tips and such as to how to get the best-looking result. More of this can be seen here over on their blog post but I'll finish on this MASSIVE print which was done using one of the files from the Patreon.
Bigger is better? It certainly shows off the quality of the sculpt carries over into a larger size and you could see a lot of hobbyists and painters tackling something like this for an extra challenge.
Are you someone who has clambered onto the 3D Printing train and is now embracing this new technology? Or, are you waiting to see how much it develops in the future?

some interesting figures It will be fun to see the pirate fire that cannon.
These look great!
I do like the option the print a sculpt at a larger scale. Sometimes you just want a larger version of a mini.
Maybe paint it and place it on the shelf with the books or box of your favorite game system. An easy to see visual reference to remind you of the game on the shelf waiting to be played again! YMMV. ??
