@chaoshead87 fortitude is the morale stat. It’s not used unless you lose half of your unit in Close Quarters Battle (CQB) or a few other special case situations.

The new starter is really nice Good solid choices for both armies

As for the original post, a number of the issues were addressed by the latest FAQ and rebalancing.
