Cubicle 7 has been taking a closer look at another one of their books. Age Of Sigmar: Soulbound, their roleplaying game set in the Mortal Realms, is hopefully coming out towards the end of April (in PDF).

This recent preview takes a look at the layout of the new Soulbound book and shows off how they are going to be guiding you through making characters and questing through the Mortal Realms. Again, much like with what we saw from Wrath & Glory last week, the layout is clear and easy to follow which is so incredibly handy when venturing into a roleplaying game.

I can't stress enough how big long-winded blocks of text don't do anything to make your game feel accessible. It might be so you can cram as much lore in as possible but it makes things so dense! This look also allows for some excellent looking artwork like that leaping Knight-Questor!

Soulbound Interior #2 - Cubicle 7

It seems like Cubicle 7 are looking to try and cover as many of the angles as they can when the book launches. So, you've got Duardin, Aelfs, Stormcast Eternals, Humans and Sylvaneth in the mix; effectively all you need to support the forces of Order. The basics of an Archetype also means that you could quite easily make your own too.

You can go and look back through all manner of Soulbound news as part of the game's entry HERE. They've talked about mechanics, archetypes and more plus you can also check out the Q&A we did with one of the designers.

Soulbound Interior #3 - Cubicle 7

Whilst I am a big fan of The Old World, I do like the prospect of delving into quests set within the Mortal Realms. Because it's all just so strange and otherworldly, it opens up a lot of opportunity for wild adventures. I am really looking forward to seeing the Starter Set for this as well; a nice entry point if the past offerings from Cubicle 7 are anything to go by.

Are you going to snap up this roleplaying game when it releases?
