The Continental Infantry by Wargames Factory Report for Duty!
July 7, 2014 by stvitusdancern
Wargames Factory has announced that their new Continental Infantry is now availible for purchase. This set will get you 30 miniatures to include a command section with officers, sergeants, colour bearer, drummer and fifer.
There are many options as far has head gear and being able to model different poses to give your line some character.
The detail looks really good and this was done in 28mm. So for those of you who are looking to start gaming in a different era that I believe doesn't get as much attention as other conflicts, this could lead to some really great gaming.
This along with the also recently released British Infantry set you can get started on recreating the Battle of Bunker (Breed's) Hill and other great battle from the War of Independence.
It is hard to believe that two of the world's greatest allies did not get along at one time. I have to say I am really excited to get started with these miniatures.
Will you be marching to the sound of the drums and fife too?
They look great ! I love the trousers and faces, very sweet indeed.
They look very good, realistic, good proportions and good details. WGF do another impressive plastic kit.
I love how the WGF stuff ends up looking, but man they can be a bear to assemble.
I really like these! What scale are they? From what I can tell on the box it says 1/56 whats that in toy mm? 28, 32, 35?
One thing great about historical gaming is that because their isnt a TM on history, the price always remains fair. Plastic soldier company are also a great buy imho as you get lots for your money. 🙂
It’s roughly 28mm. It’s the same scale as the Warlord/Italieri vehicles for Bolt Action.
Cheers Ben. 🙂
hell and damnation to those blasted rebels! Now get me some Highlanders, Roger’s Rangers and Hessians and we can have a fair scrap
HUZZAH!! Bang on!
