Henry Percy, Earl of Northamberland, Regiment of Pole Arms
The fifth regiment is completed and it is Henry Percy, Earl of Northamberland, Regiment of Men at Arms. I have based the banner on a real banner from the War of the Roses of Henry Percy, Earl of Northamberland.
These are my second Pole-arm regiment for my army and these are based on the retinue of Henry Percy, Earl of Northamberland. As his banner is Black and Red I have chosen that as the livery colours for the unit. I wanted this to be a better than average looking Men at Arms so I have carried the Black and Red theme to include their trousers as well as their coats. I personally think this makes the unit have that uniformed feel and stands out from the other units in the army.
The colours I have gone for at for the Black, Vallejo Model Colour German Black Grey, the best non black, black out there and for the Red Vallejo Game Colour Blood Red.
