Great Escape Games Prepare For WWII Danish Kickstarter
April 3, 2020 by brennon
Great Escape Games is planning and preparing for their next World War II Kickstarter as they look at add some Danish forces into the mix.
The collection will look to give you a snapshot of the different forces available to the Danish during World War II. A quick preview was released this week which shows off a selection of different infantry models with a Løjtnant, Sekondløjtnant, Runner with Bugle and Korporal in the mix.
Great Escape Games does a really good job of covering some of the lesser-known factions that ended up embroiled in this war which rocked every corner of Europe. The detail in their sculpts is pretty spot on and they will hopefully inspire some folks to expand their collections beyond the standard selection of German, British and American troops.
Once you go looking at the other countries involved in the conflict you'll soon open up a wealth of scenarios and real-life events that you can explore on the tabletop. I bet a quick look at the Danish page on Wikipedia for World War II will be the first step into an ocean of research.
Are you going to be following this campaign?

You don’t see many Danish troops if they didn’t slow the Germans when they attacked. Dunkirk may not have happened and totally changed history.
(And the Belgians of course)
